Camp Tamarack

Big sites, clean facilities. Camp Tamarack RV Park is your home away from home. Enjoy the forest setting with wild flowers, birding and all nature has to offer. Take your ATV for a ride in the sand dunes or take a stroll or bike ride down the abundant paved and natural trails. Minutes from shopping, recreation center, new dinosaur museum, golfing and dining.

The County of GP Campgrounds

The county of GP campgrounds include bear lake, demmitt, evergreen ridge recreation area, old bezanson townsite, pipestone creek, and red willow park.

Rotary Campground

Located next door to the Grande Prairie Regional College and is connected to Grande Prairie’s beautiful Muskoseepi Park trail system. It's within walking distance to the Westend shopping area including grocery stores, restaurants, the casino, and many other retail outlets. Amenities of the 61 campground sites available include wifi, laundry and shower facilities, and a sani-station. Limited stalls with power, water, and sewer.

McGovern’s RV & Marine Campground

Located at Evergreen Park, on the southern outskirts of Grande Prairie, the campground includes power and water; dump station; clean washrooms, showers and laundry; playground; convenience store; picnic tables, fire pits and firewood. It is steps away from the Pines Restaurant & Casino, which features off-track horse betting year-round.

Country Roads RV Park

A Beautiful campground setting nestled in the Bear Creek Valley. Offering a relaxing, clean, quiet, down home country stay, on our neatly landscaped grounds. Bear Paw

Centre 2000 Pavilion - Sundial, GP Heritage Discovery Centre, & the GPRTA Gift Shop

People come to Centre 2000 for tourism and community information, recreation, meetings and events, or to simply enjoy the view. The building is a showcase for community pride and the treasures of our region.

Grande Prairie Museum

"From early pioneers, Indigenous peoples, dinosaurs, and railways, to minerals, military artifacts, antiques and motorcycles, the Grande Prairie Museum has it all! The Grande Prairie Museum opened in August 1970 with a focus on preserving the pioneer history of the area. Approximately 55,000 items belong to the Museum's overall collection. The museum offers a high level of accessibility and is suitable for all ages. Our galleries feature both temporary and permanent exhibits, including features from the prehistoric area, the first homesteads of the Peace Region, and modern times. "

Country Roads Corn Maze

At Grande Paririe’s funnest campground, come loose yourself in a stunning 8-acre corn maze with hidden stations along the way. Lots of fun awaits with special events such as flashlight/movie nights, haunted maze, paintball in the maze, and much more!

Nitehawk Year-round Recreation area

A Full Service, year round regional family recreation facility featuring skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing, luging, mountain biking, and RV Camping.

Evergreen Ridge Recreation Area

Located northeast of Evergreen Park, Evergreen Ridge Recreation Area is a Non-Motorized Day Use area suitable for year-round hiking, cycling or horseback riding. The area has 99 wooded acres immediately north of PARDS with some gentle rolling topography. Natural surface trails run throughout the site and lead into the Crown Land to the east.

Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum

The Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum is an international institution for experiential learning dedicated to Alberta’s palaeontological heritage, through research, collection, preservation, exhibition, public programming, publications and innovative outreach. The museum features extensive gallery spaces angled onto a unique set of beetle pine timber 7-beam nodal trusses, two classrooms, the 60-seat Aykroyd Family Theater, research and collections areas, the Dine-O-Saur restaurant, the Kaleidosaur gift shop, an outdoor discovery fossil walk and large outdoor playground.

Kleskun Hills

The Kleskun Hills rise 100 metres above the plains surrounding Grande Prairie. This site contains the most extensive and diverse areas of native upland prairie vegetation remaining in the Peace region. The layers of clay, sandstone and coal exposed here, in Alberta’s northernmost badlands, date back to the age of the dinosaurs.

South Bear Creek hiking trails

This route is a great easy hike that is easily accessed from several points on the route. One spot to start is from the west end of the walking bridge, about 250m west of the off lease dog park. Cross the bridge and turn left instead of following the paved path North.

Muskoseepi Park

Muskoseepi is a Cree word meaning Bear Creek. Muskoseepi Park reveals the rich cultural heritage and natural beauty of our region. Created by the Heritage Trust Fund, Muskoseepi Park opened to the public in 1986 in order to preserve the land and offer a variety of activities for the community members and tourists of Grande Prairie. Walkthrough the wilderness setting of Bear Creek Valley, explore the past in the Grande Prairie Museum, enjoy a family picnic or just relax in this all-season park.

Grant Berg Art Gallery

Owned and managed by Artist Grant Berg – the Gallery represents roughly 45 artists at any given time. Our collection includes art in many forms including canvas acrylic and oil paintings, carving and sculptures, and more! Visit our gallery, located downtown Grande Prairie, Alberta, at the 214 Place. We are on the main floor in the NW corner, enter through the lobby. Our doors are next to the elevators in the tall tower.

Art Gallery of Grande Prairie

The Art Gallery of Grande Prairie is one of the largest Free Admission galleries in Western Canada. It is one of a number of programmed spaces within the Montrose Cultural Centre and shares communal spaces with the Grande Prairie Public Library and Teresa Sargent Hall. Strict adherence to climate and security controls has earned the Gallery a “Category A” designation by the Movable Cultural Properties Directorate of Canadian Heritage. This designation permits the Gallery to preserve and exhibit artworks to the highest of national standards.
